Oil spills?

To clean up oil spills on the floor, don't take your bucket of water and mop, otherwise it's a guaranteed disaster.
Simply put some flour or coarse salt on the oil, leave to soak in, clean up with kitchen paper and then wash the floor.

Trace on wooden furniture?

You forbid your children to put their glasses on the oak sideboard. THAT'S FINE. But your husband probably has a mind of his own and one day a beautiful halo appears on your furniture.
All you have to do is put some salt and then some oil on top. Rub with household paper.

Rust stains on the floor?

To remove any rust stains from your tiled floor, kitchen tiles or patio, cover the stain with fine salt and lemon juice.
Leave for an hour, then rub the stain and rinse.
If the stain persists, repeat the operation.

Descaling your kettle?

Electric kettles scale easily, particularly around the element. For quick and effective descaling, pour white vinegar into your kettle (enough to cover the element) and bring to the boil.
Be careful, the vapours are highly odorous!
Rinse your kettle and boil again with water only. Rinse again; your kettle is clean!

Rust marks on fabric (except silk) are easier to remove if you apply lemon juice and salt and leave to dry in the sun.

Tar stains on fabric or skin should preferably be removed with petroleum and then washed with a detergent.
